First pics from our day with the Discovery Channel on Wreckreation Nation!
January 18th, 2009
As we had shared in a previous article, the esteemed crack team of experts at Restricted Knowledge were invited by the Discovery Channel crew from the new show “Wreckreation Nation” to use our Exploding Targets recipe to lay waste to a wide variety of household objects and even a car!
Well, here we have the first pictures of those exploding targets in action! This was a great, great day in the history of the Discovery Channel.

Many thanks to Kathleen McManus for taking these outstanding images!

hey, where can I get one of those brain logo tshirts?
Great pics! Wish I could have been there!
@Eric Bantham
We don’t currently offer the T-shirts. We just made those to wear the day of the video shoot with Discovery Channel. That day was a lot of fun. Perhaps we’ll offer t-shirts for sale or as part of a promotion in the future.
Eric, My 15 Year oLd son and I rally enjoyed your segment on “Recreation Nation”. I have only one comment: Whay would the guy that had the “Premature Discharge” have hhis finger on his trigger? I have been a hunter education and Fire Arms instructor in the State of Kansas for 28 years, and that is one enexcusable incident. For the most part, the segment was very enjoyable and entertaining, and you guys really know how to have FUN. Just take the time to tell the folks that handle any firearm, not to even put thier finger near the trigger, until the second or two, before they are ready to fire the firearm.
Do you have any Idea what the guy from Missouri is using to get ignition with the shotgun?
Thanks,
Champdriver
Hey, thanks for the feedback.
Yes, we all feel very badly about the negligent discharge, especially the guy who did it. He’s a really great guy and a good friend. And, he does know better. Nobody feels worse about it than he does.
We actually just updated our Exploding Targets Manual with a new recipe that will work with .22s and shotguns! Its hot though, you’ve gotta be careful with it for sure.
